Also called Xuan'er, the eldest son of Zhu Huanyan and a student in the Duke's study. He follows his mother's instructions to visit his father daily, reciting classical texts in hopes of regaining the Duke's favor and attention. His recitation was judged passable but rushed by Yun Hengzhi. He loves his mother and cannot refuse her plea despite feeling afraid and anxious about her fragile state.
