Leader of the Yunshao Troupe, about twenty-five or twenty-six years old. He has bright and refined features with a gentle, scholarly temperament. He comes from a fallen scholarly family in Nanzhou; his parents are deceased and his property was seized by relatives. He brought his younger sister north to survive. He once wrote a play called Jade Green Case in his youth which had improper elements and has since been sealed away. He is polite, respectful, and seeks only to earn a living through his craft without involving himself in politics.
