She held sole power but was constrained by aristocratic families. She feigned deep affection for her husband Xie Huaizhou for two years to protect him. She was betrayed and killed by an arrow during an assassination attempt at her estate, with Xie Huaizhou trying to shield her. She then transmigrated into the body of Cui Siniang, a thirteen-to-fourteen-year-old girl.
