He contracted feline distemper (panleukopenia) with symptoms including high fever, vomiting, fur loss from ringworm, fungal crusts on skin, and blackened limbs and tail. Despite being gravely ill and emaciated, he showed affection toward Chen Xi and clung to him during treatment.
