The legitimate son of the Bai family, around twelve or thirteen years old with baby fat, fair skin, and delicate features. He comes from a well-off scholarly family and has never experienced hardship. He was severely injured when his horse went out of control while riding. He suffered fractures in his left arm and left leg, a crack in his right thigh bone, and numerous abrasions. He was nearly unconscious when brought to the inn, moaning in pain. After treatment, his face regained color though he had a slight fever.
