The head of the Bófu noble family and father of Qiáo Yùjǐng. He had no choice but to accept the Crown Prince's arrangement to marry one of his children to the poor scholar Xiè Wényàn in order to curry favor with the Crown Prince. He decided the marriage would be decided by drawing lots among his illegitimate children since his legitimate children were already married.
