Also known as Mother Lin, she is Xiuzhu's mother. Born in 1930 to the wealthy Ye merchant family in Hangcheng. She was a nurse at Hangcheng People's Hospital where she met and married Lin Zhongjun. She resigned from her hospital post after giving birth to Xiuzhu to dedicate herself to her family. She is gentle, elegant, and deeply worried about her daughter's safety given the turbulent political climate.
