Male fighter jet test pilot, the youngest reserve pilot in the Air Force. He was adopted by Yang Zhengrong as an infant and named after the character Ye on his handkerchief. He is on a mission for night flight testing of a new generation fighter jet. Nearly twenty pilots had already died during the aircraft's development. He refused to eject when his jet malfunctioned, attempting emergency landing procedures instead. He has not yet found his long-lost family.
