A yamen runner and member of the Yao clan. His mother collapsed from hunger two days ago and died; he buried her yesterday. He gave the clan two acres of farmland in exchange for only five jin of grain, but it was too late to save her. He works reluctantly hauling grain from his clan leader's shop.
