Yang Tiefeng is the son of the old lady who had an incident with Fu Mobai. He has kept completely out of sight since the incident occurred, avoiding any public appearance. Fu Mobai seeks him out with Qiu Ye's help to resolve the matter directly, believing it is easier for men to talk things over. After Fu Mobai lays out the whole story to Yang Tiefeng, the matter is settled without further conflict, showing that direct communication between the parties was more effective than dealing with the old lady herself.
