Yang Jinxiu's brother, a gambler and alcoholic who has hollowed out his body through long-term drinking, women, and gambling. He failed in business, stole all the family money including Yang Jinxiu's paycheck under false pretenses of paying for their mother's treatment, and caused Yang Jinxiu to lose her job. He is described as a leech who would bleed her dry for life. He appears at the door demanding money and is terrified when Yang Jinxiu threatens him with a kitchen knife.
