The only child of Yang Guofeng, due to the family planning policy. He went to college, had a summer internship as a village official but found it unbearable. He passed the civil service exam but complained about low pay and hard work, preferring to chase his fortune in the city. He rarely comes home and the new house built for him sits empty.
