Also known as Lazy Yang, Old Liu, or Big Lazy. A man over thirty who is a penniless bachelor, refuses to leave the village for work, and prefers lying around doing nothing. His weeds grew taller than his rice and he could sleep soundly on his broken bed. He and his old sickly mother were classified as low-income households receiving monthly subsidies. He suddenly became diligent after being introduced to a widow.
