To seek favor and higher status, she framed and murdered palace consorts, sowing chaos in the imperial harem. When she became pregnant and gained favor, the marquisate became emboldened, overstepping ceremonial norms and indulging in extravagance. After the new emperor ascended, she was ordered to commit suicide, which removed the marquisate's illusory pillar of support and led to their downfall.
