A battalion commander in the army who was originally engaged to Xia Shuning. He joined the army for her and fought through bullet storms to earn military merits. He sent a letter with just two words: 'Break Engagement.' In the original timeline, he was utterly devoted to Xia Shuning and would eventually become a general whose wife she envied.
