The Prince, also referred to as His Highness. He is sharp-tongued, unpredictable in temperament, and holds absolute power over his servants. He ordered the death of Ling Er, a maid, suspecting an improper relationship between her and Shen Que. He ordered Shen Que's execution after the burial but secretly arranged for Shen Que to escape south instead of being killed, testing Shen Luo's loyalty in the process. He has served for over thirteen years and hardly ever made mistakes during that time. He does not eat egg yolks.
