Also known as Xie Jiu, he is the ninth brother in the Xie family and a royal prince. He is a noble-looking young master and one of the many secret admirers of Ying Xu. He describes himself as a transparent prince who was not favored and not outstanding. He bought a bag of river lanterns for Ying Xu and offered to walk with her. He was stunned by Ying Xu's attitude toward Xie Jingchen and felt he could not beat Xie Jingchen even if he wanted to. He quickly took his leave when Xie Jingchen made a cryptic remark about possibly not becoming emperor.
