Also known as Prince Duan, he is the half-brother of Emperor Xie Che. Originally named Xie Zuo (meaning Xie Throne), he was once a strong contender for the throne and briefly lived as the unofficial crown prince. The Late Emperor changed his name on his deathbed to strip it of throne-related connotations. He remains unmarried to this day.
