The first wife of Zhou Shugen, who has been caring for her paralyzed mother-in-law. She is described as a pushover who allowed herself to be abused. After being forced to leave, she attempts suicide by jumping into a pond but is rescued. She later tries to jump into the river again when told she must leave.
