He was forced by imperial decree to marry Jiang Qingshu and despised her. He humiliated her in every way possible, forcing her to kneel and watch him with his concubine Mu Wanling, made her eat leftover food with dogs, and had her beaten. He enjoyed watching her suffer. His manor was looted clean and burned by Jiang Qingshu.
