Also known as Old Mrs. Wu, the protagonist of the story. She is a mother who works at a scrap metal recycling station, working half days. In her previous life, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and died alone on a cold winter night after her children argued over surgery fees and caregiving responsibilities. She had been partial to her children throughout her life, giving property to some and sacrificing her job to fund her eldest son's overseas studies. After dying, she was reborn back to the time before she sold her job, determined to change her fate and no longer be manipulated by her selfish children.
