A Russian coach with a straightforward personality. He initially was unimpressed by reports of Qiao Nan's talent but was won over after seeing her perform. He is the coach of Aurora, his pride and joy. He assigned extra training including double laps to both Aurora and Qiao Nan after being impressed. He pointed out technical issues in Qiao Nan's performance such as incomplete leg extension during jumps and unstable free leg position during spins.
