Male minor character. A man in his fifties who is Zhan Nanhui's upper-level operative contact. He disappeared for half a year due to injury and now contacts Zhan Nanhui again. He informs Zhan Nanhui that his father's case is nearly resolved and that he will be leaving within two months. He tells Zhan Nanhui not to contact his rural wife again and that the college entrance exam is just a formality. He carries a People's Daily newspaper listing names of Zhan Nanhui's father's former comrades.
