Jiang Yiyan's husband in the novel and the father of Wen Meimei. He is a devoted male supporting character who is childhood sweethearts and first loves with Shu Yao. Though he did not win Shu Yao's heart, he plays a crucial role in the story. He is described as intelligent and composed, similar to the book's true male lead. He is currently away on a business trip outside Shencheng. In the original novel, he eventually grew completely disappointed in Jiang Yiyan and divorced her, gaining custody of Meimei.
