Also called Wen Er or Second Brother Wen. The second son of Old Madam Wen, married to Madam Fang. He works as a clerk at the Liu family's cloth shop in town, along with his wife. Their family lives in a small courtyard provided by the shop. After Wen Ye's actions, he loses his job and is beaten by Steward Liu.
