Male, the political commissar of the Third Regiment. He is Lu Yunzheng's close friend who accompanies him to the blind date. He is talkative and nagging but well-meaning, constantly giving Lu Yunzheng advice on how to behave. He is surprised and delighted to discover that Lu Yunzheng and Lin Tingwan already know each other from the department store incident. He acts as a matchmaker and driver during the outing, feeling somewhat redundant during the pleasant conversation between Lu Yunzheng and the Lin parents.
