Wei Shenjun's traditional, conservative parents who run a rural single-story home in northern China. They had gone through the marital breakdowns of both their daughters. They were initially worried about Wei Shenjun's relationship with Cang Xia but became overjoyed after learning about Cang Xia's employment and family background, seeing their son as having married up.
