Female, supporting character. Also called Mother Wei. Wei Xuan's mother who runs the household and controls food distribution. She dotes on her daughter Wei Xuan and gets angry when others criticize her. She is particularly dissatisfied with the third sister-in-law, whom she did not choose for her third son. She refused to let Wei Xuan return to the fields after the heatstroke incident.
