Deceased grandfather of Wang Shuyue and father of Wang Jianguo. Born in 1949, he held old-fashioned beliefs and insisted on a traditional burial rather than cremation. He lost both his parents to starvation due to poverty when he was fifteen. His nine-year-old sister Wang Shufen relied entirely on him begging for food to survive during those difficult times. He took on any manual labor he could find to support the family. After commune reforms, life gradually improved. He never gave up searching for his missing sister Wang Shufen after she disappeared while herding sheep in 1970. He was hospitalized at the county hospital due to serious illness in the days before his death.
