Also known as Xiao Ya's grandma and referred to as the Old Shrew. She is Wang Qinglai's mother and the paternal grandmother of Xiao Ya. She is abusive toward Xu Xiu'er, making her do all chores and treating her like a slave. She despises Xiao Ya for being a girl and unable to carry on the family line. She comes to the hospital to drag Xu Xiu'er back home. She is shameless, vulgar, and attacks Grandma Xu when confronted. She falsely accuses Xu Xiu'er of having an affair with Luo Lie.
