Male supporting character. Jiang Manyue's uncle, a one-armed man in his fifties who works at the chemical fertilizer factory. He lost his right arm in a machinery accident years ago. He had tried to stop Jiang Manyue from marrying Ma Xiangyang and was crushed when she threatened to cut ties with him. He did not attend her wedding but sent a red envelope with 50 yuan. In her past life, he died after being hit by a car while rushing to find her after news broke about the widowed sister-in-law's death. He is furious upon learning about Ma Xiangyang's treatment of Jiang Manyue and grabs a broom ready to beat him.
