She is a middle-aged woman residing in Xiaoda Village during the winter of 1960 famine period. Her real name is Wang Meiqin, though she is commonly known as Wang San by the villagers. She lived in close proximity to the original owner Lin Yue, which enabled her to be the first person to discover that Lin Yue was about to give birth.
