Also referred to as Wang Laotai, she is Wang Yu's grandmother. A greedy old woman known in the village for being grasping. She initially refuses to repay the grain debt owed to the Yun family and tries to avoid paying. She is described as a dead pig not afraid of boiling water. She eventually gives three and a half taels of silver but claims it is all they have.
