The protagonist, originally named Chang Shun (also called Dashun). A boy who has transmigrated into this body, possessing medical knowledge from his past life. He is the son of Meiniang and his biological father. At seven and a half years old in this body, he appears no older than five or six due to years of hardship. He is renamed Wan Ping'an by his stepfather Wan Changsheng, meaning may he live a peaceful and prosperous life. He joins his mother's new family after her remarriage and moves to Wanjia Village. He is quiet, thoughtful, and prefers a peaceful life over excitement.
