Also referred to as Chief Zhang, the old village head of Fu'an Village. He was humiliated when Shen Yu deliberately skipped serving him tea during the magistrate's visit. Magistrate Lu dismissively told him to leave if he had matters at home. He later cursed his wife for suggesting they provoke Fu'an Village and dashed home in disgrace. He was described as powerless against Shen Yu but appreciated the excellent wine she made.
