Also called Chief Huang, he is the village chief of Shigang Village, about fifty years old with gray hair from a hard life. He collects rent from Li Erzhu's family for the two rooms they occupy. He is somewhat reasonable but firm about rules and government authority. He eventually gives Suisui one month to gather two taels of silver for the house purchase.
