Male supporting character, also referred to as Grandpa Village Chief and Registrar Sun. He is the village chief who accompanies Taohua to seek help from Magistrate Feng. He is respectful and cautious, refusing to trouble Registrar Feng further by insisting on finding their own inn. He has witnessed Taohua's nightmares coming true and takes her warnings seriously. He has free access to the county office jail due to his position.
