Tong Zichen (also referred to as Tong Zhichen in the text) is the groom marrying Jiang Manwen in this chapter. He arrives at 10 o'clock with eight groomsmen to pick up the bride for the wedding ceremony. Some of the groomsmen are variety show guests, including Qiao Cen and Tian Ka, while the others are friends and brothers of Tong Zichen. He participates in the traditional wedding games where the groomsmen must compete with the bridesmaids to earn the right to enter the bride's room. After Tian Ka helps find the wedding shoes through their couple's dance performance, Tong Zichen gratefully acknowledges the effort. Despite the dramatic disruption caused by Xu Shanshan's exposure, the wedding proceeds as planned after the interruptions are dealt with.
