He was captured by Ma Yan's group with his mouth stuffed with dirty cloth. He revealed that Lin Chu (the crazy woman) had knocked him out and taken his knife a few days ago. He was thrown out to feed zombies by Ma Yan's orders after being deemed not to be lying about not knowing where Lin Chu went.
