The son of Tian Xingfa, the brigade leader. He is naturally lazy, doted on as the youngest child, and tends to avoid hard work. He is tempted by the prospect of mountain riches but fears his father's anger. He is acquainted with Zhu Zi and Er Gou Zi from neighboring villages.
