Tian Mi's father, a policeman for nearly twenty years at the Public Security Bureau. He is fifty years old and has eight children with his wife, but only one son—himself. He has two sons: an eldest son who is already married, and a younger clever son named Xiangyang (10 years old) whom he favors and wants to succeed him. He is authoritative and respected by his sisters. He dotes on Tian Mi the most among his daughters but is also biased toward his sons.
