An older woman who was already occupying Ye Zhi and Lu Wei's sleeper berth when they arrived on the train. She claimed to have back and leg problems and tried to persuade them to give up the berth. She was practiced in this sort of negotiation and looked to Lu Wei's military uniform for advantage.
