The entity that captured and imprisoned Lance in the coral bone, referred to by Lance as the octopus. It feeds Lance pieces of arm and attempted to treat his damaged fingernails but Lance was uncooperative. The tentacle has a cold, sticky sensation and could not perform delicate actions initially. It discovered Lance had fallen ill from overexertion digging the escape tunnel and dragged him out from the narrow hole. The tentacle treated Lance's swollen red fingertips by wrapping them in brown seaweed and seaweed mud. It is decaying in the flow of time and finds the lively white mermaid immensely attractive.
