Also known as the live-in son-in-law of Merchant Lin's family. He gradually seized control of the household after his wife's death, squandering wealth and commanding servants. He had an affair with his childhood sweetheart outside the marriage and had two children with her. He was eventually killed by Merchant Lin after his infidelity was exposed.
