A man who took over the ferry and demands tribute from all ships sailing to Jiangzhou. Formerly a fisherman who survived a raging storm and was carried to shore by a giant octopus. People believe he can speak to the Sea God. He allegedly can hear the sea — fish, crabs, and waves speak to him. As a boy, he saved a creature shaped like a snake with a human face and a long tail.
