Also known as Lord Tengen, he is a Hashira (elite Demon Slayer) of the Demon Slayer Corps. He was searching for his three missing wives and rescued them during the battle. He wields a Nichirin blade. He noticed Giyu was poisoned but stayed silent to avoid giving Gyutaro an advantage. He coordinated with Sakamoto Ryoma during the battle and sent a kasugai crow to inform the Master of the Demon Slayer Corps.
