Lin Wanshu's grandfather, a skilled traditional Chinese medicine doctor during the Anti-Japanese War. He treated many wounded soldiers on the battlefield and once saved a soldier's leg who had been sentenced to amputation. Lin Wanshu inherited his medical books, notes, and prescriptions, which she used to create the medicine for Qin Yan's leg treatment.
