He apologized to Yin Xuzhao for failing his task of making Chu Xuyun come willingly. He warned Yin Xuzhao that Chu Xuyun might have put a demon curse on Yu Xiao. He understood sign language and helped interpret Chu Xuyun's gestures for Yin Xuzhao. He was held by Yu Xiao by the nape during the confrontation.
