The protagonist, an 80-year-old businesswoman and philanthropist who passed away in 2038. In her past life, she was sent to Xushan as an educated youth at age 18, where she was saved from an earthquake collapse by firefighter Song Jingzhi. She remained single, built a successful business after the reform and opening up, and did charity work helping disaster victims and adopting orphans.
