The youngest son of Old Man and Old Madam Sui and the biological father of Sui Wuyou. Also known by his courtesy name Jingxing. Bright from childhood, he attended private school and passed the county-level imperial examination at seventeen, earning the title of xiucai. He traveled to the prefectural city for the provincial examination when his wife was pregnant with Wuyou, but died after encountering bandits and falling into a cliff.
